Dextromethorphan Hydrochloride Syrup is indicated for treatment of certain allergy symptoms including hives, itching, sneezing, and watery eyes. It belongs to antihistamine class of medication which works by binding to histamine H-1 receptors and blocking their activity. This syrup also comprises chlorpheniramine maleate and phenylephrine HCl as other active chemicals. It also works by decongesting blood vessels present in nasal passages to provide relief from stuffy nose.
